The Candlewick Hat is a stylish cap that's fun to knit and cozy and warm!
In an earlier post about a Zippered Project Bag, I hinted about a knitting project that was going to be a Christmas gift for a friend. Now that the gift has been given, I can finally detail the project itself.
The Candlewick Hat is a design by John Brinegar that I found on Ravelry. I always find the chance to knit various cables great fun, and so this hat provided a lot of enjoyable knitting.

I had knit this hat once before in a grey wool, but I enjoyed returning to the pattern to knit it again using such a vibrant blue. (Actually, I like this blue so much I am considering painting my primary bathroom in the same color!)

I may have to knit this one more time, because when a good friend saw the work in progress, she became enamored of the pattern and told me she desperately wanted one. It's in the queue, but I have a lot of other works in progress. (Once I knit this hat a third time, I'll post some photos here!)
